Falling people all over the place

A little while ago someone asked me if Manhattan with all the snow is really that romantic like in all those kitschy christmas movies. Now I can say: No, not at all!
No later than on the second day of snow the roadsides and sidewalks are full of all the dirty, wet and grey snow. And you can hardly walk through the city or cross the streets without rainboots.

But there is a place though which could let a romantics heart beat faster. In the snowy Central Park you can find sledging children, cross- country skiing sport addicts, ice skating families and lovers who are enjoying horse- drawn carriage rides through the park, like Carrie and Mr. Big in Sex and the City.

However, I have to admit that I was the most amused about the plenty of falling people who couldn´t hold their balance on the slippery and icy snow (My friend was one of them and it´s almost a miracle that I wasn´t) and especially the little hills were fun to watch. ;)

And a second later it really came on my lap

What a flair on the fleamarket...

All the vintage- , second hand- and antique lovers out there shouldn´t miss one of New York City´s fleamarkets. Today I enjoyed the unique flair of the "GreenFlea Market" on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
The typical smell and the atmosphere were unmistakeable. I´m looking forward to explore more of these wonderful markets, especially in summertime without freezing fingers and feet.
